Here it is - a full rundown of every recommendation I got for projects coming up all in one spot

I. 5 Movie Recs of the Week (Feb 2025)

1. Captain America Brave New World (Releasing in Theaters)

Release Date: February 14, 2025

What Makes It Special:

MCU Fans, hold on to your hats, cause there’s a LOT riding on this one. It's Sam Wilson's first solo outing as Cap, and it looks intense. The story revolves around Sam getting caught up in some international incident after meeting with the new President, Thaddeus Ross AKA the Red Hulk. To me this film has a lot to set up, show us how it's dealing with the legacy of Captain America and what it means in today's world, set up the Red Hulk as a compelling villain, and send us on a clear journey to get the next Avengers films up and running. Plus, I’m excited to see this because it seems like it's going to be more of a political thriller than just another superhero smash-em-up. And with the return of some characters from way back in The Incredible Hulk, it feels like they're tying up some long-forgotten MCU threads. If you're into Marvel at all, this is definitely one you can't miss!

2. Parasite (Streaming on Netflix)

Release Date: February 1, 2025

What Makes It Special: Bong Joon-ho is the GOAT, he crafted a narrative so intricate and unpredictable, it’s a must watch every single time one of my friends recommends it for movie night. This is perfect If you’re in the mood for a movie that’ll have you chuckling one minute and then reevaluating society the next. It’s about this seriously cunning family who wiggle their way into a wealthy household and turn everyone’s lives upside down in the most jaw-dropping ways. The social commentary is sharp, it’s super relatable when it comes to the Kim’s family humor, this is a no brainer. It's a cinematic experience that'll stick with you long after the end credits.

3. Becomming Led Zeppelin (Releasing in Theaters)

Release Date: February 14, 2025

What Makes It Special: This one goes out to all my fellow music lovers. There's this new Led Zeppelin documentary coming out called Becoming Led Zeppelin. It's the first officially sanctioned doc about the band, and it looks pretty sick. The film traces the journey of all four members through the 60s music scene, up to when they became the biggest band in the world in 1970. What's really cool is that it features never-before-seen footage and full performances from the crew. The thing that makes this one special is that it's told entirely by the band members themselves, including some unheard interviews with John Bonham. I never thought we’d be getting never before seen concert footage in IMAX but I’m DOWN FOR IT. If you're a Zeppelin fan or just love music history, this is an absolute must-see!

4. Love Hurts (Releasing in Theaters)

Release Date: February 7, 2025

What Makes It Special:

This trailer looks sick af, plus Ke Huy Quan is coming back for another action movie, I am SEATED. The film takes the concept of a Valentine's Day gathering and turns it into something more anxiety-inducing than a "we need to talk" text. It's a delicious subversion of romantic tropes that'll have you second-guessing every dinner party invitation. The host's unpredictability keeps the tension high, much like waiting for test results or checking your bank balance after a night out. It's a clever mix of thriller and dark comedy that perfectly captures the sometimes-terrifying nature of modern love and social interactions.

5. Paddington in Peru (Releasing in Theaters)

Release Date: February 14, 2025

What Makes It Special:
